Below are the standard JVM server parameters. 

G1 Garbage Collector

  • -XX:+UseG1GC
    • Turn on the G1 garbage collector. 
  • -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=250
    • Target a maximum pause time of no more than 250 milliseconds.
